Flaky Cheese & Herb Twists

Soft, fluffy Milk Bread transformed into golden puffed French toast, topped with a scoop of creamy milk bread ice cream — a decadent classic English-style breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • Milk Bread 4 slices
  • Eggs 2
  • Milk  ½ cup
  • Sugar 2 tsp
  • Vanilla extract ½ tsp
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Optional garnish: fresh berries, maple syrup, powdered sugar.
  • For Ice cream
  • Milk Bread 2 slices
  • Milk ½ cup
  • Condensed milk 2 tbsp
  • Powdered milk 1 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Vanilla extract ½ tsp

Method

  1. 1Separate eggs into yolks and whites. Whip egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk yolks with milk, sugar, and vanilla.
  3. Gently fold whipped whites into yolk-milk mixture to create a light, airy batter.
  4. Stack 2–3 slices of Milk Bread and dip carefully into batter.
  5. Cook on medium heat in butter until golden and puffed on both sides.
  6. Prepare ice cream: in a small saucepan, warm milk, condensed milk, powdered milk, and sugar; remove from heat after a boil, add torn milk bread pieces
  7. Blend mixture until smooth, stir in vanilla, and freeze for 3–4 hours.
  8. Serve French toast warm with a scoop of milk bread ice cream on top.
  9. Optionally garnish with fresh berries, maple syrup, and powdered sugar.
