Tender pan-seared beef steak served on crisp Rietmann Wholegrain Spelt Bread with a drizzle of rich balsamic glaze — a wholesome, high-protein open-faced sandwich perfect for lunch or light dinner.

Ingredients

  • Rietmann Wholegrain Spelt Bread 2 slices
  • Beef steak (sirloin or ribeye) 150–200g
  • Olive oil 1 tsp
  • Salt & cracked black pepper To taste
  • Balsamic glaze 1–2 tsp
  • Fresh rocket Small handful
  • Optional garnish: micro herbs or shaved Parmesan

Method

  1. 1Preheat a pan over medium-high heat with olive oil.
  2. Season beef steak with salt and cracked black pepper.
  3. Pan-sear steak to desired doneness (approx. 3–5 mins per side depending on thickness).
  4. Let steak rest for 3–5 mins, then slice thinly.
  5. Lightly toast Rietmann Wholegrain Spelt Bread slices.
  6. Place sliced steak on top of toast.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and garnish with rocket and optional micro herbs or shaved Parmesan.
  8. Serve immediately.
